Blood donor ‘Aini Taloh’ receives 2022 HD Shourie Memorial Award
PASIGHAT (By Maksam Tayeng) – During a CME and two-day nationwide workshop on Voluntary Blood Donation and Haemovigilance organized by Barak Valley Voluntary blood donors Forum and Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Center in Silchar, Assam, Mrs. Aini Taloh, the state’s star blood donor, on Friday received the HD Shourie Memorial Award-2022 for being one of the top blood donors in the state. ‘India.
Taloh was invited by the Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors’ Forum and Cachar Cancer Hospital and RC, Assam while acknowledging her outstanding services in saving the lives of people in need of blood by donating blood at a record number of times and the workshop on voluntary blood donation was held at the end of two decades of their service to the people.
She was awarded HD Shourie Memorial Award-2022 for being one of India’s top blood donors where Mrs. Taloh donated 35 to herand blood time in the voluntary blood donation camp held on the day which makes her one of India’s top blood donors.
Today, Ms. Taloh is an inspiration to many not just in the state, but across the country as she is seen as a lifeline, especially to patients in need of blood who do not cannot afford to buy blood. His foundation “AYANG”, a non-profit organization based here in Pasighat, East Siang district, is doing the work and many volunteers are joining his noble work to save lives.
